Watch deer play at this tranquil getaway nestled in the heart of Apple Hill vineyards, golf courses, and apple orchards. Right next to The El Dorado Trail; take a serene bike ride through the trees. Rural area 20 minutes from Placerville. Surrounded by 25 Wineries in Somerset and Fairplay. Apple Hill 20 minutes. Rivers, lake, hiking trails all close by. Skiing 45 minutes Choice of good restaurants, Great grocery store, all minutes away. Spacious living, In-Law unit located below my home. Separate and completely private. Patio, yard, parking and entry door, all private and separate. Gated security. Sheep and Tortoises live here. Welcome to visit them. I can provide treats to feed.

Casita in Wine Country

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The hosts live on sight but enjoy sharing their beautiful view from this separate Casita. There is a fun 1 mile hike on the property. Only 5-10 minute drive to local wineries. The quaint town of Plymouth is a 10 minute drive which hosts Taste, a 5 Star restaurant. Black Chasm Caverns is a 30 minute drive as well as Jackson Rancheria Casino. Kirkwood Skiing is an hour drive. We have a Tesla charging station for an additional $20 a night.

This historic miner's cabin, which has been renovated, is located in the heart of Apple Hill, in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and overlooks a small meadow and creek. Walk to nearby farms, breweries & wineries or just relax on the back deck and enjoy the scenery. Visit historic Placerville, its galleries, restaurants, shops & more! Raft, ski, kayak, or just explore our 40-acre farm trails! (We are pet friendly.)

From your own private brick patio & secret garden, you will be welcomed inside to polished wood floors, deep soak Jacuzzi tub/ hand-held European style shower, comply QUEEN bed, quality linens, everything clean to a 't'. We are Self-Catered but with lite breakfast items & snacks available. Better yet, a short 2 block walk & you can explore Old Town shops & eateries. Enjoy wine tasting, agricultural and history tourism, skiing, hiking, golfing, rafting, cycling and many more activities. The home is located off the beaten path, 35 minutes to the summit of the Sierra, 20 minutes to historical Placerville and other gold rush attractions, and just a few minutes to many of the apple hill farms. Note: This is a RURAL location.
