Pop down to Benny's for fresh bread, cakes and our world famous apple tarts! Breakfast, lunch & barista coffee served daily. Castlerea is a vibrant market town with great amenities. It is a short 10 minute drive to Sligo Town, 3 minutes to Castledargan Hotel and Golf Course, and 5 minutes to Markree Castle with easy access to upland and forest walks, and world renowned beaches.

Delightful, listed, 250 year old thatch cottage named after the famous explorer Eduardo-Alfred Martel is famous for charting Marble Arch cave system. Local Folklore claims that Martel resided within this beautiful cottage in 1895 during his Caving adventures. Suitable for walkers, climbers & fishermen. The cottage is heated by oil and lovely range cooker. With an electric fire in the lounge. Please be aware that the cottage does not have WiFi or terrestrial tv, but has a tv and dvds.
