This is our "Hidden gems" tour where we will show our own favorite spots, which are off the beaten track from the standard path. Expect to get an introduction to areas we think are cool, local, and where you get a great a sense of what the life in Copenhagen is all about. We will either take a southern route or Northern route depending on what is going on in the harbor at your specific departure day. The harbor in Copenhagen is undergoing rapid change, from an industrial harbor to recreational space open to everyone living in the city. During the summer months it acts as the main nerve binding the city together and attracting numerous water-based activities in the process. You will see how this is folds out with Kayaks passing by and happy Danes jumping into the water. We will point out our favorite places and hidden gems, whether you are looking a place for having an afternoon beer in the sun, a relaxed morning coffee, or simply and area to relax away from it all. As we explore the upcoming areas away from the inner part of the city you will see how former industrial buildings are being transformed into new spaces and how Copenhagen is evolving as a city. Other things to note Please be ready 10 min before We have a convertible roof for our boats we use for rainy and cold days, but nevertheless dress according to the weather. Hydrobiking à Copenhague
Your HydroBiking tour begins at Christiania Strand Park, a short walk from the famous Christiania. Before the tour starts the guide gives a short safety briefing and you have time to try out your water bike in calm water. Then the adventure begins! Enjoy a short ride to the Copenhagen harbor to see the iconic Copenhagen Opera House, Frederik’s Church & The Royal Danish Playhouse. By now you are familiar with the bike and have a good sense of the tour. Then through the narrow canals west of the harbor, passing by house boats, private yachts and cafes by the water. traffic flows one way, so everyone is going the same direction. It’s fun to share the journey with other water users. We may pause at Christianshavn Boat Rental Cafe. Crossing Copenhagen harbor to the east, we see Circle bridge and Black Diamond before entering Christiansborg Canal. We ride under old arching bridges adorned with viking faces carved in stone & a diverse range of boats, people and buildings. We pass by Borsen - the oldest stock exchange in Denmark & Christiansborg Palace. We may pause at Kayak Bar. Then we head south, passing the colorful buildings at Nyhavn and riding beside the city until Ofelia Plads. We enjoy more stunning views of Copenhagen reflecting on the surface. Finally crossing the harbor again and headed back. Our tour ends where it begins.
