Tranquil Waterfront Haven on Tasman Peninsula

Perched right on the foreshore and overlooking the bay is Squid Ink Shack. A comfortable & spacious waterfront property with 180 degree views over the bay. It’s a peaceful & tranquil setting among the tall gum trees. Go for a swim, snorkel or kayak right at your front doorstep or take a short leisurely walk down the gravel road to fish off the jetty or launch the boat and let the kids play on the sands of White Beach. My beautiful vintage (circa 1890) cottage is divided into 2 stylish, adults only, apartments. Ocean & beach views of a stunningly beautiful natural environment (2 min stroll to beach.) Charming, rustic, authentic, warm and clean, full of character and stories. 14 min drive to Port Arthur. 50 mins to Hobart Airport. So much to do: scenic hikes, swimming, surfing and snorkelling, beach walking, visiting nearby wineries, watching whales, dolphins, seals & albatross. You wont want to leave.

Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

EHN is the gateway to the Tasman Peninsula, Port Arthur, The Tessalated pavement, Devils Kitchen and the Three Capes Walk to name just a few. Fishing, surfing, bush walking or just relaxing are some of the pastimes you can enjoy right on your door step. Private beach access Wee Doo is newly renovated and fully self contained.
