Cozy, Quiet, Private, Clean w/ FIBER INTERNET We are a farmhouse in the woods 4 miles from Thousand Hills State Park and 5 miles from Truman State University. While staying, you will feel like you are secluded amongst a forrest, yet you'll only be a 5-10 minute drive away from everything in town! The house was built in 2017 with modern finishes. The hottub is always hot and the oversized couches are always comfy. The neighborhood is family/wildlife oriented. Come unwind and relax in the sticks!

Enjoy an exclusive view of the River, the FM Train Depot and Old Fort Madison from this 2nd floor true-studio apt. The space has modern décor and all of the comforts of home. Railfans will enjoy the trains and river fans will enjoy the unique east-west river movement. There will be train sounds! The space comfortably sleeps two adults in its queen size Murphy bed. For the extra guest there is a queen size blow-up mattress or snuggle up on the couch. Please reach out with any questions.

For a tiny house it has a spacious lower level with vaulted ceiling and upper bedroom loft. Wifi & smart TV. Nice warm heat and cool AC. Outdoor activity includes hammocks, swimming, boating (canoe, kayaks, john boat). For fishing we have boats, nets & fish-dressing station (bring poles & bait). About 13 miles from Palmyra and Monroe, nearest gas and groceries.

Your stay will include homemade baked goods made by our family, Cold breakfast foods such as cereal and fruit will be available. Keep it simple at this cottage located just blocks from Truman State University and 0.8 of a mile from A.T. Still University and Downtown Kirksville. Originally built in 1950 and completely remodeled in 2024, this cozy cottage offers all the modern amenities for a weekend away or a month-long stay.
