I am a Tibetan American who has lived in Santa Monica for 20+ years. I grew up in India cooking both traditional Tibetan food as well as Tibetan-Indian fusion. One Tibet's staple dishes is called 'Momo' - handmade Tibetan dumplings, served steamed or pan-fried. They are typically filled with beef, but can easily be made vegetarian as well! I would love to host guests for a Tibetan cooking and dining experience. They will be given a background on Tibetan food and culture, taught how to make Tibetan tea, and of course, make Momos with me. Guests will be able to enjoy their lunch or dinner in my home and also take home food as well. It has always been a dream of mine to share Tibetan cooking techniques and cuisine to those who have never experienced it before and Airbnb seems like a wonderful place to start!
