We will take a day trip to Stonehenge, stopping at some lesser known archaeological sites on the way. Early in the morning (or not so early if you'd prefer!) I will pick you up from Bermondsey station or Lambeth station in London and drive you to Salisbury Plain. This will take about 2-3hrs. We will visit Stonehenge and I will give you a personal tour of the site, including its archaeological history, and invite you to ask whichever questions you've always wanted to ask an archaeologist! We will have a good lunch at the Stonehenge cafe and refresh for the second stage :) After this, I will take you to some of the lesser known prehistoric sites on Salisbury Plain, such as West Kennet Long Barrow, Silbury Hill, Woodhenge, Danebury hill fort, or, if we have time, Avebury and the ceremonial Avenue of stones. We will then head back to London, and I will provide light snacks on the way, to arrive back around 7pm.
