Join me in order to discover the unique tastes and history of Saint-Henri. We will meet at the subway station where we will make our way to our first stop, Nozy a unique Japanese Restaurant that offers a teishoku style menu. From there we will walk towards a few unique landmarks where I will share my knowledge and the history that makes the uniqueness of this neighborhood. While on our stroll we will come across Adamo pizza where we will have the pleasure of eating a classic thin crust slice of margarita pizza. As luck would have right next door is the home Dalia Rose an artisanal ice cream shop which offers several vegan options. Now it's time to burn off some of these calories by making our way to the Atwater Market, a fresh local produce market. We will make a quick stop at the Chateau Saint-Amboise and walk by the splendid Lachine Canal. Once at the market you will have some free time to purchase produce before we head off to the success story of Satay Brothers. They are 2 brothers called Ming (Mat) Jen (Alex), their mom Kim, and a couple of friends who set on a mission to bring some Singaporean, Malaysian and South East Asian flavours to Montreal. Just to ensure that you have enough and can not take no more :)) we will finish with Le Bon Vivant, a European & Mediterranean fusion cuisine that is pleased to serve you dishes with integrity by using local produce.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Jenny and have been working in the tourism industry and have been a restaurateur for over 20 years and most recently have been an Airbnb host and have been recommending my favourite places to eat and see with hundreds of guests . I have had the privilege of living in beautiful Saint-Henri for the last 18 years and have seen it flourish from a lower class struggling neighborhood to the now multicultural hipster place to live in. Being raised by adventurer parents, I have been traveling and eating all types of food for as long as I can remember and I am definitely a huge foodie. My passion is finding the best food, no matter where I am in the world. I would love to have the chance to share my knowledge of beautiful Montreal and more specifically Saint-Henri one bite at a time.
Ce qui est inclus
My goal is to be sure that you are not hungry by the end of the tour. Alcohol is not included however you can definitely…
Saint-Henri has been transformed into an urban recreation area close to downtown, a pleasant working-class area where it is good to live. The Lachine Canal was reopened to boating in 2002, attracting walkers and cyclists and the opening of several delicious restaurants and cafes. Saint-Henri has come back to life and is now attracting a new clientele. It is currently referred to as a hipster district. A charming neighborhood to discover with me
