Experience a heart-pumping run while seeing the city from a different angle and getting on the trails that all the seasoned runners love best. We'll meet at a local trailhead, and I'll introduce you to the particular area and the history of the trail: how the route was established, how to best enjoy the trail any time of year, any interesting historical details. Then we'll take off on a trail run during which I'll share both trail tidbits as well as training tips (I'm a coach, too!). Ask me anything about running, whether general training questions or specific inquiries about Utah and Salt Lake City races.
Take advantage of my 30 years of trail and long distance running and my love of the Salt Lake area's urban and mountain singletrack adventures. Trail running is truly my lifelong love. Every single day I run on trails both right at the edge of the city as well as embracing routes a quick drive away that take me into the Wasatch front range. I explore new trails as well as get intimately familiar with other routes, learning the history and the ins and outs of how to enjoy the experience, no matter which season or weather condition.
Ce qui est inclus
If needed, one pair of trekking poles will be provided (on loan) for use during our adventure!
We'll take a new and little-known route to a historic landmark above Salt Lake City's Capitol Hill and visit Ensign Peak with an amazing view of the entire Salt Lake Valley. As we do this we'll connect to another landmark trail: the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, which marks the edges of the ancient sea that filled the valley below. You'll learn history while getting a great workout and view.
