In our Cuban cooking class, you’ll not only get hands on with our delicious regional dishes, but also gather and learn about the local ingredients we’ll use. Food won’t be the only thing you’ll make! Everyone will also have the chance to make their own authentic Cuban mojitos and desserts! Cuban rum will also be tasted & enjoyed! At the end of class we will all sit down to share our meal together! 1.Visit to a local herb grower and hand-select herbs to use in food preparation. 2. A presentation on Cuban cuisine and its origins, (with a restaurant employee providing English translation) to give you and apron to cook into the kitchen. 3. Instruction on preparing local dishes including ropa vieja (shredded beef), plus lobster & shrimp enchilado (in tomato sauce) and our ajiaco (a typical Cuban root vegetable-based soup/stew). 4. Instruction and creating your own Cuban mojito 5. Your lunch includes bread service (accompanied by several of their own sauces), Ajiaco, rice, salad, beans, yucca, sample the beef/lobster/shrimp dishes that you learned how to prepare in the kitchen, accompanied by a national brand beverage, your choice of several typical Cuban desserts, traditional coffee, and aged rum to finish of the meal and habano, at the end you receive a certifique of Cuban cuisine Chef.
