Join Kelly-Ann La Sirena for a yoga class on a stand up paddleboard in the pool. Just like a yoga class on land, we will warm up, mobilize and move, and stretch. We will do a combination of surf inspired balance and strength moves to create a full body workout with focus on stability and control. The challenge of the "floating mat" will improve your concentration and it's always fun when there's a little SPLASH! I'll guide you through breathing exercises which will help to not only calm the nervous system but also improve your lung capacity- something necessary when you take a tumble in the surf and get held underwater. Yoga wouldn't be yoga without Savasana- so there will be time to relax in a floating Savasana to make this mermaid yoga experience complete!
My name is Kelly-Ann La Sirena. I am a Mermaid Gyp-sea Yogini. I opened my floating yoga studio called I Am Mermaid Paddleboard Yoga in 2015. I offer land based Yoga classes in addition to classes on a Stand Up Paddleboard- hence the floating studio! I am also a Gyp-sea- splitting my time between my two homes in Pender Island BC Canada and in Puerto Escondido Oaxaca Mexico. I am a certified yoga instructor, a flatwater Stand Up Paddleboard instructor, a surf enthusiast, and open water swimmer- a true mermaid. I have combined these skills and my love of the water, surf and yoga to create my fun filled fitness classes on the paddleboard and I hope to inspire you to discover the mermaid within too!

Class will be held in the gorgeous cascade pool at Casa de Olas boutique hotel in Punta de Zicatela.
