Our small group tour, in our selection of luxury vehicles, starts from Sydney CBD heading direct to the mountains for a hearty three course café breakfast. Moving on through the historic, picturesque towns of Leura and Katoomba, we take in sweeping views of the Jamison and Kedumba valleys, the famous 3 sisters rock formation and the tallest waterfalls in the mountains. At this point our customers can choose to take some personal time hiking with views, or instead - at own cost- adding Scenic World ultimate pass (with the worlds steepest passenger railway). After a stop and a local family owned and operated sweets manufacturer for free tastings and learnings, we make our way back into the Blue Mountains Nat. Park taking in the majestic Megalong and Grose valleys, all the while preparing some tasty dishes, lovingly inspired with our own personal touch. Finding another hidden lookout, we sample some local apple pies (from apples of the region) sprinkled with fresh fruit and chocolates, of course. From here we wind down to the farming region of Bilpin (home of the mountain apple), taking in free tastings and learnings from the locals at Bilpin Cider Co. Your final journey back is a lovely 20km river cruise from western Sydney to the CBD to finish. We always allow some time for purchasing en route and cater for physical/dietary requirements.
In 1997 my eyes opened to a whole new world of unique Australian sights and decided to leave a suit and tie salary, and big city, and show off my country to international guests. Since then, I have conducted guided educational and food tours in most Australian states and territories. I hold First Aid accreditation and Certificate IV in Tourism Guiding. So, over 20 years later, I have set up a unique food lovers' and sightseeing tour of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains region. Complementing the amazing views, with tasty food (progressive throughout the day, including breakfast) sourced mostly from local Blue Mountains produce. Along the way supporting local business in the mountains and building strong relationships with the locals.
