I will take you to one of the most beautiful places in Sydney, impossible to access without a car & local knowledge. We will meet in the northern beaches suburb of Mona Vale, a friendly village easily accessible on a double decker B-Line bus, (1 hour) from the city. I can also arrange to collect you from Manly (40 mins by Ferry from the city, Circular Quay). I will introduce myself, and get to know you & your photography aims on the half hour drive to the national park, ($12 entry fee included). I will give you info sheets on DSLR basics (& get you up to speed on shutter speed & aperture, and the knowledge you need for great portraiture including camera & lens selection). We will stop at a fabulous lookout across the water, possibly the best in Sydney - looking across at the famous Palm Beach & create our first portrait images, discussing how to read light, and composition. We will walk along a nearby bush track for 1km, (around half an hour), which takes us to a magical secluded beach. You can use my pro cameras & lenses, including macro & 85mm portrait lenses + telephoto & wide, as I guide you with advice. We can try a few different photo set ups on the beach, and then swim if it's warm. Then, a 40 minute 1km walk back up the steps (which is steep in parts). We will return back to Mona Vale bus stop in the car. Afterwards, I will send you 10-20 Hi Res shots via dropbox

This tour is at a secret beauty spot, unknown to tourists. The national park lookout is arguably the best in Sydney. The bush track to the secret beach is a hidden gem of Sydney, and the indigenous carvings are also very special. To return by ferry to Palm Beach is a fantastic day out.
