I have more than 60 pure silk kimonos. Many of them are from my family. Because I would like to introduce high quality kimonos to my guests, I hold on kimono activities at my house. Silk kimonos are different from polyester kimonos which you may had seen in a street! You’ll learn traditional Japanese cultures and “graceful carriage” posture by dressing up in a kimono. You'll begin by trying on a pure silk kimono and I'll share my knowledge about the kimono’s history, and the meaning of its design and split by the craftsman. I'll also tell you how to wear a kimono beautifully and comfortably. If you have long hair, I'll help do your hair. After dressing up, You'll enjoy photo shooting at my neighborhood. Yotsuigi town is totaly different from tourist places. Quiet temple and peaceful park are located in 5min walk from my house. Be a local and spend special time with a classical kimono. I'll give you a casual powdered green tea workshop at home when you come back. I'll show you how to make a tea, so you'll try to make it and taste it with a Japanese sweets. At the end of my activity, I'll help taking more photos for you at Japanese room.
Hi, I'm Yasuno! I learned Japanese tea ceremony over five years and I worked at a high-class traditional Japanese restaurant for two years wearing a kimono. I also worked at a rental kimono shop for 1 year. Currently, I work as a both airbnb experience host and airbnb private logding host at home with my family. I enjoy communicating with my guests from over the the world in daily life. The kimono makes my life much more cultural and peaceful. I'd love to share my skills with you. :) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yasuno_tegami_shokudo/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/yasuno.ishii

We'll meet up at my home which is a 3-minute walk from Yotsugi Station on the Keisei Oshiage Railway Line. It’s three stops from the Oshiage Skytree Station. My grand father lived in the house over 20 years. After dressing up kimono, you'll take photos at Yotsugi town in which I and my family grewed up. When you come back, I'll bring you a local Japanese sweet shop. It's 3min walk from my house.Get your favorit sweets and and eat it with Maccha
