Nestled in the tiny hamlet of Broughton Beck just 40 minutes to the centre of the Lake District, the Stable is a peaceful retreat away from the crowds and is a perfect base to explore the Southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay Peninsulas. Situated on the lower ground floor of a traditional 200 year old Cumbrian Bank Barn the Stable has charm and character yet modern day comforts. Nearby Ulverston, has regular festivals and many independent shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.

This attractively designed studio provides comfortable and stylish accommodation for two. It is just five minutes' walk from the centre of Grange-over-Sands, an unspoiled Edwardian seaside town on the coast of Morecambe Bay, 20 minutes from the Lake District National Park. The Studio is the ideal base from which to visit the attractions, see the lovely sights and enjoy the activities that the area offers. Public transport into the Lakes is limited and a car is recommended for wider exploration.

Gorgeous home, private parking and stunning views

Bay View Cottage is a fabulous ENTIRE Ulverston home extremely well suited for a romantic escape for two people or for working in the area, or working at home, great WiFi. Very peaceful here no road noise lots of bird song, cosy up and enjoy the panoramic view. Very close to town centre it has own entrance with a key safe, so arrival time can be totally flexible, and there is private parking. We use a Professional cleaning service to ensure the place sparkles. Much better than a hotel room!

The Maltings Studio - lovely location near Cartmel

The Maltings Studio is a spacious and stylish self-contained ground floor studio apartment for two (with a King-sized bed or two singles). It is located in the peaceful Lake District countryside within easy walking distance of Cartmel Village and all it's amenities. There are also many walking and cycling routes to explore directly from the Studio. It is part of an 18th century restored barn called The Malting House, where malt was stored and used to brew ale for the monks of Cartmel Priory.

We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. The studio has a king-sized bed, dining table & chairs, a very comfortable sofa, TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, cutlery. Drakes Cottage is situated within the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching stables. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.
