Experience the Real Kyoto The road in front of my house has existed for over a thousand years. This peaceful, historic area has some of Kyoto’s oldest shops. Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) and Ryoanji Temple are within walking distance, and a bus stop right outside offers easy access to other famous sights. The house blends modern Japanese design with touches of the Taisho period (about 100 years ago), creating a calm, traditional atmosphere.
