Welcome to this patch of serenity on the river's edge, to this hideaway. Take a seat. Decompress a moment. This is your reprieve from the passwords and online postings that so consumes us. Here you will find a home that touts all the modern conveniences while ensconced in another time, a slower time, a time of reflection if so inclined. There is a security camera located in the front of deck, pointing out to steps, driveway, and front yard, and it will be recording 24/7 for safety purposes.

Located just steps away from Dam #4 on the C&O Canal / Potomac River. (marker 84.6) Perfect for a getaway or romantic weekend. Hike/bike the C&O Canal, bring your kayak/canoe/bikes, fish or swim in the river. Sit on the porch and listen to the rumble of the water falling over the dam. Local lore is this was the home of a canal lock keeper or the gate house keeper. Secluded location away from town. NOT A PARTY HOUSE/owner on site in garage apartment. Inquire if a blocked day is available.

Relax, fish, explore, or visit nearby attractions in Shepherdstown, Sharpsburg, & Harper's Ferry. Two kayaks, a canoe, paddles, & lifejackets are available for your use. All water activities are at your own risk. WV DNR requires all boaters to have a lifejacket and all boats to have a whistle. Please bring your own whistle(s). MD or WV fishing license is fine.

Enjoy 150 feet of shoreline with a large landscaped expanse of grass perfect for play, picnics, or just shady naps. This riverfront area is exclusively for you and guests at our cabin on Knott Road. A rocky peninsula extends your riverfront another 100 feet into the Potomac. The large deck and stone patio features a variety of seating options and gas grill.

Barn Apartment in VA Wine Country

Barn apartment in the upper level of a bank barn. Fourteen miles from downtown Leesburg, 5 miles from Harper's Ferry, 1 mile from VA-9 Appalachian trail head. Close to Harper's Ferry Adventure Center, wineries, breweries, tubing, kayaking, hiking, farms. Full kitchen. Unplugged with the exception of Wi-Fi - no satellite or TV. There is cell signal. Rate includes 6% Virginia state tax and 7% Loudoun County hotel tax. 1 queen bed, 1 twin, and 1 floor mattress (pull out futon).

The Cuckoo Chalet

We invite you to come stay "just up the mountain" from historic Harpers Ferry National Park. The Cuckoo Chalet is our happy place and a labor of love. Enjoy 3 bedrooms with queen beds (plus one twin bed and additional twin mattresses without frames upon request) and 2 bathrooms. Make yourself at home in our indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. Grill out, enjoy the fire pit, tube the river, watch for deer, hike trails, play pool or read a good book in the hammock.
