Four bedrooms each come with their own private bathroom, sleeping up to 10 guests comfortably without anyone compromising on privacy. The indoor saltwater pool is the centerpiece of the home — a fully enclosed room for swimming and poolside relaxation regardless of the weather outside, with heating available upon request (please allow 72 hours' notice to heat the pool ahead of your stay). Step outside and the vineyard takes over. Rows of grapevines stretch across the property with sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood in the distance — a backdrop that changes with the light throughout the day and makes this one of the more visually striking properties in the region. The Columbia River runs adjacent to the property, and the views across the water toward Oregon are particularly striking at sunset. Schreiner Farms, a free drive-through exotic animal park, is just down the road and makes for an easy, memorable outing for families or groups traveling with kids. The Home The gourmet kitchen is built for cooking at scale — a double oven and a large island handle everything from a quiet breakfast to a full group dinner. The upstairs living room with a work desk, free WiFi, and cable TV is the natural gathering spot for a family movie night or quiet evening in. A dedicated game room with a ping-pong table adds another option for groups who want to spread out across multiple spaces. Heated floors run through the home, adding comfort that's especially appreciated during the cooler months in the Gorge. A washer and dryer are available for longer stays. Outdoor living continues with a terrace, balcony, and patio — multiple distinct spaces to enjoy the property's vineyard views and river light at different times of day. A Note on the Property's Current Condition We want to be upfront with guests: Grapevine Lodge is a property in active transition. The new ownership team is investing significantly in landscaping, maintenance, and upgrades — work that is ongoing and will continue through the coming seasons. Some areas of the grounds are still being developed, and guests may notice deferred maintenance items such as landscaping that is a work in progress. The bones of this property — the scale, the vineyard setting, the river views, the indoor pool, the heated floors, and the space for a large group — are exceptional. The finishing work is catching up to match. Guests booking this summer are getting a genuinely rare property at a price that reflects where it is in that process, not where it's headed. We appreciate guests who can see the potential and enjoy the experience for what it is right now. The Setting The lodge sits in a genuinely secluded riverfront location near the Columbia River, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyard land, and Gorge scenery. A mini-mart about a quarter mile up the road covers basic groceries and essentials. The highway intersection leading to the nearest river crossing is about a mile and a half east, keeping Hood River's wineries, breweries, and dining within easy reach. A Few Things to Know This property has exterior security cameras facing the driveway. Occupancy limits are strictly enforced — please book according to your actual group size. Coyote is on the east side of our private acre in White Salmon. The tiny house has privacy screening as privacy is very important to us. Enjoy the quiet and beautiful views to the south. We welcome your pups, but we do not allow dogs to sleep on beds.
