Haakon House

Relax with family and friends at a Northwoods retreat. The cabin is a newer build at the end of a quiet road near the start line for the Prince Haakon cross country ski race. It can accommodate large groups with as many as 12 in the cabin on beds and pull out furniture (plus a bunkhouse). Connect to CAMBA mountain bike and American Birkebeiner Nordic ski trails from the front door, through private trails and the Mosquito Brook trailhead. The Sunset Cabin

1950’s resort cabin brought back to life! The beautiful screened in porch looks to the west for some of the most gorgeous sunsets you’ll see anywhere. All is new and was completely remodeled in 2024. One bedroom has queen bed and the other has a full bed with a twin bed bunk. You’ll have your own dock for fishing, plus access to the shared lake toys:kayaks, floaties, fishing rods and tackle, row boats and a canoe. You’ll also have shared access to the sandy swimming beach and swimming raft.

This is a cabin-in-the-woods experience! The Seeley Oaks A-Frame is our slice of the peaceful Northwoods experience. It's on 40 private, tranquil acres (no neighbors!) with great access to all the Hayward-Cable area has to offer. At 700sq ft, it's intended for two adults, with the option of 2 addtl kids. We fell in love with Hayward for the same reason so many people do: the lakes, the quiet, the slower pace, and how easy it is to feel connected to nature. The Cabin for Two sits at the end of a private road on a small wilderness lake, surrounded by county forest. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.

Escape to the Northwoods of Wisconsin. This is a quiet, peaceful place to stay. The house is set in the woods with deer strolling through the property. There is access to snowmobile trails 9 and 15 and plenty of truck and trailer parking. Round Lake and other area lakes are nearby for ice fishing. We are about 5 miles from the Birkie trail parking and access.
