Kibler Valley Cabin

Our cabin is located in the picturesque Kibler Valley just over the Virginia state line. It is equidistant from Mt Airy, NC and Stuart, VA. It is located directly on the Dan River, just down the mountain from it's headwaters. The property sits 4 miles down a 6.5 mile dead-end road. At the end of the road is a hydro-electric power plant. During the summer months Northbrook releases water from the dam on week-ends, depending on resevior levels, which makes for fantastic kayaking and tubing.

The Dan River House

The house is just a short walk from Dan River, which can be easily viewed from the front porch. Surrounded by grassy fields which border the river, relax and unwind. The night sky is great for stargazing or sitting on the porch listening to the tranquil sounds of the river. Nestled in the heart of SW Virginia, Ridge View Cabin is a relaxing place to get away from it all; yet, the charming and historic towns of Hillsville and Floyd Virginia are less than 18 miles away. Chateau Morrisette winery and restaurant is a 20 minute drive as is Villa Appalachia Winery. The Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible and the Virginia Creeper Trail is in nearby Galax. There are plenty of other hiking trails around and river sports are nearby.
