Portland, Oregon, États-Unis

Great location in the Kerns neighborhood, three blocks from "Restaurant Row"—a fabulous lineup of dozens of restaurants, cafes and bars, along with Whole Foods, good ol’ Starbucks, an independent movie theatre, and tons of unique shops and boutiques. More restaurants and bars are opening up all the time, including top eateries like Luce, Screen Door, Navarre, and Tusk, all just a few blocks away. It's a wonderful walking neighborhood (Walk Score 93!), a 15-minute stroll from lovely Laurelhurst Park, even closer to Oregon Park and the school playground down the street. Voodoo Doughnuts Too is a 10-minute walk, and there's a beautiful hot tub/float tank spa (Everett House) just down the block.

World traveler, former journalist and guidebook writer with longtime experience living abroad (Nepal, China, France) -- I welcome fellow travelers to this lovely corner of the U.S.! My own travel style is a mix of research and serendipity. Happy to share favorite restaurants and things to do in Portland, where I've lived since 1998, and have been hosting AirBnB guests since 2010. You'll be able to come and go as you please, and you'll have lots of privacy in the house. If I'm away traveling, my very capable house manager will be taking care of you.
