My place is close to outdoor activties as we are on the side of a mountain 20mins from the skifield with hiking at the back door. You’ll love my place because of It is a Log Chalet with an unusual spacious internal design, the location is fantastic for those who value the outdoors, peace and privacy. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Obviously mountains in NZ do not exist in townships. We do not have any shops here.
Both Hanmer Springs and Kaikoura are approx an hours drive.
Our log house is open for your enjoyment and use. We have 2 ensuite rooms sleeping a couple plus a single offering your own privacy We are surrounded by native Black Beech and Manuka with open pastureland behind the house with great walks and views.

4WD is highly recommended in winter. There aren't any shops here.
Fave activities...4WDing, bought the two of us together. Boating and Paddleboarding, strange on a mountain. Of course snow skiing, horses. Any fast outdoor activity. But living here in winter books take over and for some, TV. I enjoy sourcing my food locally which includes growing and foraging. Cheese making and eating is a passion but it needs time. We tend to travel our own back country these days which is why its fun to have people to stay from far off places.
