Experience the rustic magic of Muskoka in one of our glamping cabins. Get all the fun and adventure of camping in the woods but without the need to pitch a tent! These partially off-grid wood cabins provide you with a roof over your head, beds to support your back, and a woodstove to warm your toes. They are built with a minimal 12-volt electrical system to provide lights and a small USB charge, but to otherwise eliminate the constant buzz of EMFs and allow you to sink into nature.

Le logement
The cabins are designed for campers and nature lovers who are comfortable without the comforts of modern life.

Please read our description in full as these cabins are unique and do not include many modern amenities found in hotels.

This cabin is one of 5 at our small rustic eco-therapy retreat center, Pura Vida Soul Institute. It is nestled amidst the trees along a small trail in our 22-acre natural forest. They are situated close to the washrooms, studio, and parking.
Included in the cabin:
• Four built-in bunk beds with a full staircase access
• Large sweeping windows for forest views and cool breezes
• Covered deck with 4 chairs for lounging
• Woodstove (This is the only heat source in the cabin)
• Small sitting area with comfy chairs and ottoman
• Small table for keeping belongings safe
• Luggage racks and storage under beds
• Overhead LED lighting
• USB charger
• Bedsheets, pillows, and blankets
• Picnic Table
• Private fire pit for roasting marshmallows
• Lighters or matches
• Hot water, coffee, tea
• Breakfast (Typically includes toasts, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea)
• Free Parking

NOT Included in the cabin:
• Kitchen or cooking appliances (Please bring a camp stove or grill if you wish to cook onsite)
• Private bathroom (There are shared bathrooms & showers in the main building – a short 1-2 minute walk from the cabin)
• No electrical outlets, no wifi, no tv
• Wood (Guest may purchase wood onsite at $5/box. Guests typically use 1-3 boxes per night depending on outside temperatures).
• Lunch or dinner
• Fire Fairy to start and stoke your fire all night (Guests are responsible for starting and maintaining the woodstove. If you are uncomfortable maintaining a fire we don’t recommend visiting us during winter months as you will be very cold without a fire).
• Ice (Please purchase in town before arrival)
• Yoga classes, workshops, or other services

NO SMOKING: Our entire property is designated as non-smoking. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the cabins, on the trails, or anywhere on the property.

NO PETS: We are a wild location that shares land with bears, moose, and other wild animals. We work really hard to keep these animals uninterested in our cabin sites and the presence of any new animals, including pets, tends to draw them in. We are very strict about no pets in our cabins for the safety of our guests and your pets.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests can spend time lounging and relaxing in their cabin, walking our small nature trail, or enjoying your own yoga practice in one of our studios.

Bathrooms and washrooms are shared among all guests in our common main building.

Autres remarques
NO SMOKING: We are a NON Smoking property. Guests are not permitted to smoke in the cabins or on the property at any time. Please do not reserve with us if you need require the ability to smoke during your stay.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests will have access to their cabin, washrooms, showers, changerooms, and our breakfast area. There is also a self-guided walking trail and an outdoor yoga studio that guests may use when classes are not in session.

Guests DO NOT have access to kitchen facilities, appliances, or dishes.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
WASHROOMS/SHOWERS
Washrooms and showers are located within the main studio building as well as in an outdoor shower/washroom. Towels and shampoo are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own toiletries if you have specific needs. These are SHARED facilities with other guests.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Check-In time is between 3-7pm.
Check-Out time is 11am on the day of your departure.

COOKING/DINING
Breakfast is included in your stay.
For other meals we recommend bringing a camp stove with you. You are welcome to cook outdoors on the picnic tables provided or use the designated fire pits. Cooking is NOT PERMITTED inside the cabins. All food must be cleaned up and stored in your vehicles when not on your site to prevent animals from entering your site. Guests do NOT have access to any kitchen facilities onsite.
Many of our guests will visit nearby restaurants in Washago, Orillia, or Gravenhurst for meals if they do not bring a camp stove with them. We do NOT have a restaurant onsite.

WOOD STOVE/HEAT
All of our cabins are outfitted with a wood stove. This is your ONLY source of heat in the cabin regardless of the time of year. During the winter months you will need to have a fire going to generate and maintain heat in the cabins. You will be responsible for starting your own fire upon arrival and maintain the fire throughout the night. Your cabin will generally be the same temperature as outdoors upon arrival and will take about an hour or so to warm up during winter months.
Wood and firestarters are NOT included with your cabin. However, you can purchase them onsite (Wood $5/box and Firestarters $1-$5). Guests typically use 1-3 boxes of wood per night during the stay and in the winter you will need to put new wood on the fire every 2-3 hours to keep it going. In the summer months many guests are quite comfortable without any fire at all.

FOOD STORAGE
Your cabin shares the habitat with many hungry animals. We have a very respectful relationship with our animal neighbours and they tend to steer clear of the cabins. However, they are drawn to the smell of food. Please store any food items you have brought with you in your car to prevent additional animal guests from visiting.

CANDLES/FLAMES
Please refrain from using candles and open flames in the cabins. Fire prevention is of the utmost importance. You will have the ambience of the woodstove to add to the romance of the experience.

FIRE PIT
Each cabin has a private fire pit that may be used for cooking or enjoying the outdoors. If you wish to cook on the fire pit you will need to bring a grill with you. Please note that our municipality has a ban on daytime burning all year long so the fire pit may only be used after dark. Violations will result in a $500 fee.
