This fully restored authentic Texas ranch house on 10 acres is located in the Texas Hill Country. Pecan Creek Park, the historic Hamilton County Courthouse, library, and local restaurants are within walking distance. This place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Pecan Creek runs through the property, which has two waterfalls, large oaks and pecan trees, and several limestone cliffs. A fully restored 1911 rail car and newly planted apple and pecan orchards are also located on the property. The terrain away from the house is rugged, however, and guests will be required to sign a waiver/release if they wish to explore the rest of the property. Children should be supervised at all times.
Accès des voyageurs
The entire ranch house is available to guests, which includes living area, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms, full bath, laundry room, and two large porches. Outside the house, there are picnic tables, a fire pit, seating with a cliff view, seating area next to restored rail car, and an above ground stock tank for use as splashing pool for kids.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
Owner uses this property as a weekend retreat and does not reside in the immediate vicinity.
Since the house was built before the current road was cut, the house actually faces away from the access road. Although this property is within city limits, it remains rural in character. Access road and driveway are not paved, and there is no garage. This property is still in the process of being restored and upgraded, and it may become unavailable from time to time as work progresses.
Signed waiver/release required for inherent risks of rural property in Texas, including cliffs, rocky terrain, hidden obstacles or holes in high grass and vegetation, slippery and rocky creek bed, old barbed wire, presence of snakes and other varmints, biting insects, cactus and thorny plants, etc.
