Beechhill house is a 3 bedroom country farmhouse with a cosy kitchen and large livingroom for relaxing by the wood burning stove. Central location to the North Antrim Coast (30mins)

A few recommendations for your stay.

Portstewart - 30 minute drive (my home town) a quiet seaside town with a nice Promenade for walking or resting for a coffee and an Ice-cream. A cliff walk from the promenade takes you on a pedestrian walk passed Dominican College to the local Beach. Portstewart Strand gives views of the Mussenden temple at Downhill.

Eatting: I recommend Harry's Shack at the beach or Amici Restaurant for lunch/dinner. Booking is recommended. The Anchor Bar is a good spot for a pub lunch by the fire.

Portrush - 35 minute drive. Another popular seaside town with a lovely Promenade walk, two beaches and an abundance of coffee shops and restaurants. The most popular being the Ramore Group of restaurants by the harbour. The Harbour bar is a great stop for the best pint of Guiness in the North... If travelling with children Barry's Amusements is a must. Or if a relaxing round of golf is more your cup of tee, there is the Royal Portrush Golf Club, hosts of the 148th Open in 2019.

From Portrush follow the Causeway Coastal route around the beautiful Antrim Coastline to the small towns of Portballintrae, Bushmills and Ballintoy.

Bushmills is the home of the world famous Bushmills Whiskey Distillery, tours are available all year round. On route you will pass the ruins of Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge and the Giants Causeway (UNESCO World Heritage site).

A short distance from Ballintoy is the beautiful coastal town of Ballycastle - a short ferry journey from the harbour is Rathlin Island. The island has a population of 160 people, a world away from modern life. The Island boosts magnificent wildlife and walks...of course there's also a pub for a well earned pint before the ferry trip back to land.

If you're a Game of Thrones fan a few miles in land you'll find the 'Dark Hedges' which feature in the popular HBO series. Many of the series filming spots are found along the Antrim Coast and a free tour map can be downloaded online.

From the Dark Hedges the cities of Belfast and Derry are 60 minutes drive in either direction. Both cities have a selection of bars, restaurants, shopping centres, boutique shops and weekend markets (St. Georges) to choose from. Relax in the Botanical Gardens or enjoy a drink at the popular Cathedral Quarter in Belfast.
Belfast city is alive with traditional pubs where you'll hear traditional Irish music most nights. If you have a keen interest in the history surrounding Northern Ireland and the 'troubles' each city has a selection of guided tours.

From Derry City you may wish to drive into the South of Ireland to Co. Donegal, 2 hours drive from Donegal Town.

Walking/Hiking: Visit WalkingNI.com for the different trails across the Sperrin and Mourne Mountains. The highest mountain in Northern Ireland is Slieve Donard in County Down.

The Discover Northern Ireland, Visit Belfast and Visit Derry City websites have a full list of upcoming events.
