Idéalement situé
100 % des voyageurs ont attribué 5 étoiles à l'emplacement du logement.
Unplug from hectic life and travel a two-lane road to the "Quiet Side" of the Ozarks where Cabin on The Creek awaits you in southeastern Missouri. Rocking chairs on the porch, a crystal clear babbling brook right out the front door. This private setting features a bunkhouse style cabin with 4 twin beds, full bath, huge windows, eclectic decor, med size mini fridge, microwave, campfire with one wheelbarrow full free firewood, gas grill, picnic table. Close to rivers, nat'l lands, state parks.

Le logement
While there is both air conditioning and heat available in the cabin, you can throw open the big windows and be surrounded by fresh mountain breezes and sounds of the forest including owls, whippoorwills, mourning doves, tree frogs, bull frogs and hundreds of birds.
Kick back, relax. A yoga mat is provided if you'd like to find your Zen on the porch overlooking the creek.

Please enjoy a glass of wine, and view millions of stars from the night-time, zero-light-pollution sky. The Milky Way is amazing. Know your zodiac signs when you come….because you can see them ALL from here. Plus you can see the many satellites orbiting the earth across this sky.

Accès des voyageurs
While you’re here, feel free to look around, travel the paths of our little homestead we’ve cut out of the woods. Our other projects include the Writing Cottage, Wood Shed, the Happy Camper, the Garden, the Not-Quite-A-Tiny House …. and lots of other things to ponder. Enjoy yourself.

Autres remarques
- Please note we are NOT near Branson, MO, or Lake of the Ozarks. We are on the OPPOSITE SIDE of Missouri from Branson. We're located on the "quiet" side of the Ozarks, on the eastern side of the state, about one hour from the Mississippi River.
- To get to the cabin there is a small low-water creek crossing, in case of extreme rain (flood level), the creek is sometimes too high to cross. This rarely happens.
- We have eight acres here on the creek. We have a small home here and we have this cozy cabin as a rental, and one other rental. All are situated for privacy. However, you may see or hear another human during your stay.
- Cancellations must be 5 full days in advance to receive refund.
- One (1) COMPLETELY FREE large, piled-high wheelbarrow load of firewood, kindling and lighter fluid IS PROVIDED for each group. This will easily supply two nights of cozy campfire unless you dump the entire wheelbarrow load of wood onto the fire at once and build a roaring huge 8ft tall inferno bonfire (yeah, we've had some people do that).
Additional firewood is available for purchase for $15 per wheelbarrow load from hosts.
Guests may NOT enter and take firewood from host's private woodsheds (yeah, sadly some folks steal it).
Firewood is NOT to be collected or cut from grounds (yeah, some folks tried to cut down a tree in our yard for firewood).
Firewood CANNOT be brought in (Iron Co law due to ash bore beetle transfer). If you want massive fires, or plan to have fires for multiple night's stay...plan to buy more wood from the host for $15 per wheelbarrow load.

We’re a writer and a carpenter. We’re outdoor lovers and adventurists. We both mostly work from home, so someone is almost always here. When we purchased these eight acres we had only a massive forest and two crystal clear creeks; we are turning it into an oasis of happiness one little project at a time. We love motorcycle camping trips, outdoor excursions, campfires, dream chasing and building stuff. We are currently collecting “junk” as we hope to soon turn our creative skills towards metal sculpture. We abide by the motto, "How we spend our days is how we live our lives"... and we believe in living life to the fullest always and all ways. We recently moved into our Little House, a cozy little 800 sq ft house we built ourselves here on the creek. Our two vacation rentals, The Happy Camper and Cabin on the Creek were created to provide serenity and peace for our visitors.

We live on this property, and we are available as needed. We are currently building a slightly-larger-than-tiny house, and we've moved in, even tho it's not quite finished. Cabin on the Creek is a tree-surrounded location, however because we also live on this 8 acres, you might see or hear another human during your stay. We also have one other rental, which is privately situated away from the cabin. It is Airbnb #24699176
