Guests can access the whole house/cabin. This includes 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath, kitchen, dining, living room, porch, driveway. This mountain cabin is secluded and nestled in the Carson National Forest area. Very peaceful, 1 neighbor, and only one dirt road leading to the cabin. No interstate highways for at least 14 miles.
Kitchen is ready to use, as everything needed is available for home cooking. But, be aware, that aside from the basics, sugar, flour, cooking oils, salt, rice, beans, and more;, guests need to be aware to bring your own groceries if you're going to cook. The nearest restaurants are 14 miles, into Mora, NM; and/or 35 miles to Taos (very touristy).
I am a retired educator having worked for 40 years in New Mexico's public education. I have a BA; MA; and Ed. Spec., in Educational Administration. I have worked as a high school teacher; high school administrator; Superintendent of public schools. I am currently a Governor appointed Board of Trustee Member at the Museum of Natural History in Albuquerque. I enjoy my family gatherings; travel; community activities. I have two wonderful grown sons. My husband is a semi-retired attorney who specializes in Indian Law, educational law, corporate law. We enjoy traveling and have traveled extensively abroad. My favorite place, Peru, Machu Picchu. Wow.
I also enjoy hiking and my passion is golf. I love my northern cabin in Chacon, NM as it has been in the family for five generations. My guests on AirBnB will see why. I love the mountains, nature, and am environmentally conscious.
