Le logement
We are blessed to own a lovely sea captain's home built in 1870 with all the charm that comes with an old, historic home, including a lovely garden. Though the house is large, the rooms are bright and cozy. Located in downtown Bath, we are a five minute walk to Front Street, and all the in-town amenities and charms Bath has to offer.

We are always busy with various activities, and love to cook and bake. Some of the fascinating features in our home include a built-in ship's galley, a sun room, a small but delightful garden, and a guest bathroom with an old clawfoot tub that serves as a tub or a shower. The guest space consists of one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one sitting room with a love seat containing a twin sized hide-a-bed. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig with a selection of coffees and teas available for our guests.

Accès des voyageurs
The guest space is located on the backside of the house and not exposed to any of the lights or occasional noise from the shipyard. There is a private full bath for use next to these rooms. The guest quarters is located at the end of the second-story hallway and will be closed off for guest privacy. Access to these rooms is through a staircase immediately upon entering the back entrance to the home.

Autres remarques
We do have two exceedingly affectionate dogs named Sammy and Tilly. Like any dogs, they are curious about newcomers. Also, we remove our shoes while inside the house, but have slippers available for visitors to use if they like.

Bath, Maine, États-Unis

What makes our home ideally situated is the easy walking access to downtown Bath where there are restaurants, various shops, and the town's historic library. We are located across from Bath Iron Works. During the week, the shipyard is busy at work but this does not interfere with the enjoyment of the neighborhood and all that the town has to offer. Down the street from us is the Maine Maritime Museum as well as an eleven acre dog park. Because Bath sits astride the Kennebec River, a pleasant stroll at various places along the river is an open invitation, including the waterfront summer concert series, hosted by the Chocolate Church Arts Center. For those who might prefer a more contemplative time, relax in our garden.
