The Boathouse is a unique waterfront guest house on Puslinch Lake; minutes off the 401 and 10 minutes from all Cambridge amenities. Enjoy fabulous lake views from your private roof top deck with BBQ. Inside you will find a TV with Netflix, WiFi, double bed, bistro set, electric fireplace & A/C. The kitchenette with granite counter includes a stainless steel fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, single burner induction cooktop and Tassimo, complimentary coffee & tea. No additional hidden fees.

Le logement
The Boat House is a private, self contained, two room tiny house located on our property. There are 3 dining options; outside on the balcony or the waterfront deck and the bistro set inside. The Boat House also has air conditioning, or open up the balcony door for a breeze off the lake. For chillier evenings there is an electric fireplace.

The kitchenette is stocked with the necessary cookware so you can prepare basic meals. Included are; a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, single burner induction cooktop, Tassimo, pots & pans, utensils and a BBQ on the deck. If you prefer to eat out there are numerous restaurants a short drive away or paddle over to The Old Marina Restaurant by canoe.

All linens, pillows and towels are provided. As well as some extra blankets for a cooler evenings sitting waterside and gazing at the stars. A television with Netflix and WiFi are included. There is also a library, board games, cards, checkers and a crokinole board.

There is a south facing waterside deck exclusively for guests, a tranquil setting to sit and enjoy the view or perhaps do some yoga, 2 matts provided.

If you are in the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge or Guelph area for business we include WiFi and are very close to the 401 for easy commuting. After your work is done wouldn’t it be nice to look out over the lake instead of a parking lot.

Seasonal occupancy only - May through mid October (dates are subject to change depending on frost)

There are no additional fees for cleaning or canoe use.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests have exclusive use of the Boat House, a private entrance, the roof top deck and the waterfront deck left of the Boathouse. There are 13 steps down to the waters edge. Aquatic plants including lily pads, although beautiful to look at, make the area unsuitable for swimming. A canoe is available for guests at no additional fee, we ask that you wear the life jackets provided and sign a waiver.

Autres remarques
We have a dog. Biscuit is a friendly 12 yr old beagle who has the run of the yard, but not to the areas designated for guests. Thus we ask that all gates remain closed at all times.

Looking out over the lake it’s easy to think your in the Muskoka’s, but without the commute. The Boat House is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood, the perfect spot to get away from it all; a couples retreat, mother/daughter get away, girls weekend or business accommodation. The space is limited to two adults and is not suitable for children.

Puslinch Lake is the largest kettle lake in North America, formed by retreating glaciers thousands of years ago.

If you don't want to cook guests are a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive from the Old Marina Restaurant (lunch & dinner only), or paddle over by canoe. Dine on the patio overlooking the lake and enjoy the sunset. In the 1920’s Puslinch Lake was a vacation destination. A dance hall once stood on the site of the Old Marina Restaurant and the apartment next door was the former Puslinch Lake Hotel.

Next to the restaurant is McClintock’s Ski School, offering waterskiing and wake-boarding lessons by world champions.

We are proud supporters of the Puslinch Lake Conservation Authority (PLCA). The annual Puslinch Lake Home Tour is held each year with proceeds going to the lakes restoration. Our home and boat house were featured in the 2005 and 2015 tours. Plan to attend and visit the unique homes of Puslinch Lake.

If hiking is your thing the walking trails of the Puslinch Tract are 2 minutes away by car or a 10 minute walk.

Near-by attractions include;

- Aberfoyle Outdoor Antique Market (Canada’s largest outdoor market, open Sundays only from 8am-4pm), 15 min

- African Lion Safari, 25 min

- The Elora Village Shops, Gorge and Raceway, 40 min

- Historic St. Jacobs Village Shops, 30 min

- Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, 15 min

- Southworks Antique Market, 15 min

- Cox Creek Cellars - Wine Tours and Tastings, 30 minutes

- Puslinch Golf Course, 5 min

Would you like to try a new restaurant? The Cambridge Mill, The Blackshop or the Aberfoyle Mill. Within a 10 minute drive are numerous restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, liquor and beer store.

Please see my Guidebook for links to these places and more.
