In an 1838 hotel that saw many changes this second floor 2 bedroom apartment is located in a quaint village in the beautiful Susquehanna river valley of Pennsylvania. Off street parking leads to a spacious balcony that over looks the floral garden.

Le logement
My residence is located in this beautiful colonial inn which has this 2 bedroom suite with a galley kitchen which adjoins a unique dining area. The 2 bedrooms easily fit 4 as they offer a queen & double bed with storage and seating above the busy street. The tub/shower combo in the large bathroom makes relaxing easy after a day of sightseeing or shopping at the local wineries & antique shops. A large open living room has a gas fireplace for taking the chill off on that fall evening. Also cable TV with lots of seating. My kitchen is well equipped for preparing a meal or bedtime snack. An antique and craft co-op is available on the 1st. floor of this unique colonial hotel of the 19th century.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests are allowed to enjoy and relax in the garden and shop The Emporium Antique & Craft Co-op on the first floor .

Autres remarques
The Emporium (our in house Antique, Craft & learning center) offer classes from time to time
and staying with us makes a great time to take a class or two. The 4th weekend in August the town celebrates New Berlin Days.
Central Pennsylvania’s largest one day street festival features purveyors of fine antiques, arts, and crafts. Approximately 50 antique dealers and 50 craft vendors will be set up along Market, Vine and Plum Streets. Traditional Pennsylvania German and American festival food and drink will be available on the streets and at the adjoining Firemen’s Field. Chicken BBQ halves and dinners will be available at the Social Hall. Entertainment plus an open house at The New Berlin Heritage Museum (the original 1815 Union County Courthouse). A quilt raffle and silent auction will be held in the afternoon.

New Berlin, Pennsylvanie, États-Unis

Our town is a sleepy German village in the central Susquehanna river valley of Pennsylvania. Sitting along Penns Creek, it is a dividing line between Union & Snyder county. With a population of just over 800 it was the original county seat of Union County. The courthouse building still stands in the Town Square and houses the Courthouse Museum. Our area is rich in history with museums, covered bridges, and Amish farms with many types of road stands through out the county. Wineries & Antique Shoppes also dot the area not to mention the many festivals and fairs we are noted for. Also close by is Penn State, Bucknell, & Susquehanna Universities. For a better look at our area check with the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau.

I am a perfectionist that enjoys antiquing, flea markets, & gardening when time permits. I enjoy the beautiful area I live in with the 4 season change, the wonderful outdoor street and county fairs, and the great people who live in our town. I work to the point that I run out of hours in the day. I love the local eateries, fresh fruit & vegetable stands in season and local roadside stops for fresh flowers. As a host I enjoy the people that you meet along the way. I have always been in some type of business where the public is involved. I believe in sharing stories and learning that others always have something good to share as well. It has always been a dream to be able to open my house to others and offer information and make life long friends along the way.
