BRAND NEW!!! You have found our very special place! This is a little slice of heaven...
We are located 10 miles west of Port Angeles, overlooking Freshwater Bay, on high bluff waterfront. Our awesome view is looking over the Strait of Juan de Fuca toward Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where Victoria & Mt Baker can be seen. We are nestled in the middle of the gateway to Olympic National Park, and everything this area has to offer. We know you will enjoy your stay, "By the Sea"...

Le logement
Our lovely tiny cabin, (280 sq ft & loft, with porch), is in the country where it is beautiful and quiet. This cabin project has been a dream of ours for many years. We have furnished it with beautiful decor and furnishings. Our queen bed on the main floor, and our king mattress topper on the floor of the loft, are complete with comfortable luxury linens; cozy velvet loft sheets, and lots of extra warm blankets. We do have WiFi, and internet connection. Phone service will occasionally roam to Canada, please check your service and settings. There is an electric fireplace inside that heats the cabin adequately. Leading up to the loft is a pull out ladder for access to the top. There is not a safety gate at the top of the ladder. Because of this, and the fact that we are on a high bluff waterfront area, please be mindful to watch your children. It is not advised to allow your children to be unattended inside or outside. Our kitchen is equipped with most everything you will need. We have a new small refrigerator, microwave, an instant hot water pot, a large hot air cooker (with instructions), a blender, a drip coffee maker, French press for coffee, grilling utensils, pans, and most utensils you will need. There is also a brand new propane BBQ grill, (with a gas burner for cooking), outside under the covered patio. Since we are 30 minutes from Port Angeles, it is a good idea to stock up on your groceries prior to your arrival. We are on a septic system, nothing but toilet paper is allowed to be flushed down the toilet. (ALL tampons, personal hygiene wipes (even the ones that say on the package that they are flushable), urinary and menstrual pads, condoms, and all baby diapering supplies need to be disposed of in the provided waste can in the bathroom.) The cabin has a 10 gallon hot water tank, this means shorter hot showers. No smoking of any type of products are allowed. Also because the interior of the cabin is tongue and groove dried cedar, NO flames of any type are allowed in the cabin, (this includes open flame candles, burning incense, burning sage, or any other combustible items that burns or smolders.)
No pets of any kind are allowed on our property, this includes service animals.
Our cabin is too small to accommodate a walker, wheelchair, or a bath bench in the shower.

Accès des voyageurs
Upon your arrival, the cabin will be unlocked. Cabin keypad lock code, general cabin, and property information will be provided to you once you are here. Outside of the cabin, is your front porch, as well as your own covered BBQ patio area to relax, cook dinner, and enjoy a cocktail or your favorite glass of wine. There is ample parking next to the cabin. You will have access to our beach trail, and use of our bicycles and helmets for exploring the neighborhood.
We have an upper observation deck, overlooking the Straits of Juan de Fuca. You can enjoy sitting, watching the sea life and water waves, or catch a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Next to this is a large campfire area where you can enjoy evening campfires, marshmallow roasting, and relaxing. (We provide all needed firewood, s'more fixings, and will even quick light the campfire for you).
We want you to feel like this is your home, please relax for a while. If there is any additional needs that you have, please let us know.

Autres remarques
This is the gateway to Olympic National Park. A short 30 minute drive from here to the west, our very favorite, is breathtaking Lake Crescent. Going to east, will take you to back to Port Angeles. From there you can head south, and in another 1/2 hr, arrive at Hurricane Ridge. The panoramic mountain views and Salish Sea views from here are breathtaking and amazing! From the cabin, we are also a very short drive from Freshwater Bay and Salt Creek/Tongue Point County Parks. These are great areas for exploring. They offer great opportunities for photography, beach combing, exploring tide pools, or launching your kayaks. You can also launch your boat at the Freshwater Bay boat launch. This area is a great spot for salmon and halibut fishing. The Olympic Discovery Trail Adventure Route is less than 5 miles from here. This 25 mile trail is great for mountain biking, and hiking. (We have 2 mountain bikes and helmets for your use). Use our cabin as your base camp from which you can explore this wonderful area. We want you to relax and truly enjoy your stay.
Please be respectful of our property, and do not take any items from the cabin, except area brochures, when you leave. (These items are valued personal property of ours that we are willing to share with you during your stay). We expect you to clean up after yourselves, and leave the cabin in the condition you found it in.
Enjoy the coziness of our cabin, and we know that you will love this special place ! ! !

Port Angeles, Washington, États-Unis

This is a very peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. The sounds and sights you see and hear are the waves on the beach, the bald eagles talking and soaring in front of the cabin, and the quietness around us. Out on the water, you might see Orcas (Killer Whales), humpback whales, and seals. If you have a good pair of binoculars, bring them. There are also not a shortage of black tail deer in the neighborhood. There is also limited light pollution out here, which allows for nice star gazing at night. Quiet hours are from 10p-8a.
Only registered guests may stay overnight in the cabin.
No parties or events are allowed on our property.

Cynthia and Jon have lived in the Port Angeles area for over 40 years. We are both active outdoor enthusiasts and are very passionate about this part of the Pacific Northwest. Cynthia has just retired from being an RN in this community for the past 30 years. Prior to this, I used my Criminal Justice degree to work as a Deputy Sheriff, 911 operator, and a seasonal Law Enforcement National Park Ranger. I spent one season in Glacier National Park, and 2 seasons here in Olympic National Park - at Hurricane Ridge. As a young college kid from Minnesota, I spent 2 summers working as a waitress at Lake Crescent Lodge. I knew that living here in Washington was where I needed to be. Jon also recently retired after 22 year with our local Sheriff's Department. He also worked 17 years as an aerospace manufacturing engineer. Prior to that he spent 5 years as a Wild Land Firefighter on a helitack crew for Los Angeles County. We are here to answer any of your questions or anything that you would like to talk about.
