Also, I DO HAVE ANOTHER PROPERTY listed on Airbnb that is practically identical to this one -and in the exact same area- if the dates you need are booked here—message me and I can send you the listing.

Highway 60 is THE PRIME area to HIKE, BIKE, FISH and PLAY- always an adventure!!!

For the cyclists-Come train for the Six Gap Century -we are right on Highway 60 - and on the river!!!

For you hikers- The Appalachain trail is just minutes away as well!! The Swinging Bridge is 2.5 miles away too!

For the fisherman...we are less than a 1/2 mile from where the fish hatchery actually stocks the Toccoa river with rainbow trout, brown trout, and some Brook trout! The Toccoa river is considered by many to be the best fishing area in all of North GA!

Fishing on the Toccoa:
One reason anglers are drawn to the North GA Mountains is the prospect of great trout catches nearly year-round. The Toccoa is just a phenomenal dry-fly fishery. Spring, summer, and on into fall, you just can’t go wrong …”

According to the GA Department of Natural Resources, the majority of trout are between 10” and 14” long, with some larger species as long as 26”.

The trout population of the Toccoa River is also heavier than the average. With the average size of trout in the Toccoa River running larger than the average trout population in many other rivers, it offers strong chances of catching a trophy-class trout!!!!

Available for rent beginning November 1, 2020!!!
License Disclosure: Owner holds a license to sell real estate in GA.

PLEASE NOTE: We are true animal lovers but out of respect for all guests, we do have a very strict NO PET policy for this property. Additionally, we have a strict NO SMOKING policy. Come fish and play in the Toccoa River- officially named Georgia’s Premier Trout Stream. The Toccoa River flows along the base of the grassy hillside at the edge of the property—providing swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing, and lots of relaxing family fun. There is a gravel path that winds down about 150 yards to the river—allowing for a very spacious, worry-free, gently sloped, grassy back lawn for children to roam and play outside—even a koi pond to enjoy!!!

You can find plenty to do in the nearby area as well. You can Fish/Hunt/Hike/Mountain Bike/Road Bike/Cycle/Motorcycle/White Water Raft/Tube/Kayak/Canoe/Boat/Swim/Ride Horseback/SightSee/Visit the many Wineries/ or just stay in and RELAX- it’s truly a PARADISE for everyone --with very reasonable rates!!!

ADORABLE, SPACIOUS, and CLEAN -2-3 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin style town home nestled in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest on 11 privately owned acres with over 1,000 feet of Toccoa river frontage running along the base of the property.

Downstairs has a living room, sunroom, kitchen/laundry, dining area, a half bath off kitchen, master bedroom (king bed) with adjoining full bath. Upstairs has a nice size loft area (w/queen bed and futon). We consider this area to be a 3rd bedroom- although not completely closed off, a full bath in the hallway, and another really large bedroom (king bed as well). Out back is a screened porch. There is a gas grill just outside porch along with a fire pit.

Sleeps up to 8 comfortably. There are 5 beds- 2 kings, 1 queen, and 2 queen futons. We do have a portable pack and play plus two baby gates. Both the downstairs and upstairs bedrooms have1 KING bed each. The loft area (our 3rd bedroom- but not completely closed off) has a 1 queen bed and 1 queen futon. The downstairs sunroom also has a queen futon.

Additionally, there is a real wood burning fireplace (firewood not provided) in the downstairs living room. TV/WiFi are provided (however, you must bring your fire stick if you want to watch TV, —since there is no cable service out here), a gas grill is on the outside screened porch (propane is provided) along with a patio set. There are chairs and a fire pit in the back yard.

The fully stocked kitchen includes coffee pot/filters, Keurig, toaster, blender, hand mixer, crock pot, dishes, utensils, and pots/pans. Linens and a washer/dryer are also provided. Be sure to bring your own coffee/supplies as those are not provided.

Please be sure to view all pictures of the property and read “Other Things to Note” and especially, “The Neighborhood Overview” for more details about this amazing property!

There is covered parking for one vehicle and plenty of parking for additional vehicles in gravel parking area.

The 11-acre property features gentle slopes, grassy lawns, a koi pond, and a gravel path that winds down about 150 yards to the river at the base of the property. The area by the river is children & family friendly with plenty of space to explore—and of course - trout fish! There are fire pits and benches by the river to enjoy a cool morning or a cozy evening roasting marshmallows.

There are steps that lead down into the shallow area of the river, which is perfect for small children to play. In summer months, you can watch for kayakers and tubers to pass by. You can tube or kayak from the river’s edge of the property or utilize one of the nearby tubing/kayaking services for a small fee (if they are allowed to re-open). There are deeper areas of the river as you follow the path along the river banks where you will find good trout fishing.

Fun attractions such as the Fish Hatchery (this facility actually grows and stocks the Toccoa with rainbow trout and brown trout), the Toccoa Swinging Bridge, Aska Trails and Waterfall, Sea Creek Waterfall, Helton Waterfall, Cooper's Creek WMA, Rock Creek WMA, whitewater rafting on the Ocoee, Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA), and numerous wineries are all a short drive away -as is Lake Blue Ridge. Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Dahlonega, and Ellijay are nearby towns.

The cooler months from December through early Spring are known as Lady Bug season up here in the Chattahoochee National Forest. They will not miss the opportunity to come inside to greet guests-lol!!! They love the inside warm windows and its impossible to keep them out. THEY ARE HARMLESS!!!! In fact, they are very beneficial to the ecosystem up here - they help rid an area of crop-damaging aphids, mealybugs, and other destructive insect pests that harm plants. They are GOOD!

Residents, cabin owners, church officials, and business folks alike will all tell you that they’ve tried just about everything from natural home remedies to numerous chemical sprays, to caulking doors and windows, to consulting professionals -seems nothing can be done to keep the little fellas out. Since we are in the middle of national forest the city/county does not come out to treat this area for insects like nearby cities.

We cannot fully control Mother Nature -nor do we want to :). It is what it is up here in the mountains regarding wildlife - we must remember that we are in THEIR environment! We just look at ‘em and love ‘em - that’s nature’s way :).

North GA Mountains! As previously stated, our property is situated on 11 privately owned acres on the Toccoa River—nestled deep in the North Georgia mountains in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest- just mins. to both Blue Ridge and Blairsville!!! Although the area is very remote (consisting of just 8 cabin style townhomes), it is very children and family friendly with paved roads for easy access. The 11 acres with its gentle slopes, grassy lawns, koi pond, and 1000 ft. of river frontage provide a fun and peaceful area for children and families to roam and explore—and of course - trout fish! Although this property is listed as waterfront with its 1000 feet of river frontage, please note there is a short walk down a gravel path to the river (about 150 yards). At the river, there are steps that lead down into the shallow areas for swimming and fishing. Our home is partially attached -shares one wall at the very end of tri-plex. The only shared amenities, however, are the fire pit areas down by the river’s edge (we do have our own private fire pit just out side the back screened porch). Although you may encounter other guests on the property from time to time, the vast size and remoteness of the property along with the undeveloped areas of the surrounding National Forest provide the privacy most desire. Please view all pictures of this amazing property—it will be hard to find another place with this much charm that’s truly “up”in the mountains and in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest!
