Suzanne, as stated in my review of you, I suggest you make it a habit to read the full description of a listing before booking it. One of the four questions sent upon booking is "Did you read the listing summary" where I CLEARlY state my preference and request for GREEN MINDED guests. And had you read the full description, you would also have read that I keep the night time thermostat program set at web recommended IDEAL Sleep temperatures "68 and 62 degrees" My listing also you that you are in just just one of 3 different rooms, so naturally I have to keep everyone comfortable. I did however acknowledge that your room is a colder due to having 3 outside walls, but no more then 2 , MAYBE 3 degrees. When your boyfriend adjusted it, the HOUSE temperature was at 69, so your room was only 67, or 66 at the lowest, well withing IDEAL sleep temperatures. You had arrived at 1 am and were going straight to bed. The "Laminated Rules" are there to provide guests with self sufficient considerate guidelines for ALL guests, not just yours. But funnily enough,MOST find the white blanket and down comforter in that room too WARM. You also had a light quilt the first night.
I was surprised you called Airbnb without talking first to me in the morning. but even the rep thought you were being extreme. But I was happy to accomaodate. Because of the lateness of you arrival I had forgotten about the space heater, electric throw and brand new THICK Sherpa blanket from garden sleeping porch. So let you use them the next night And frankly, I was a bit stunned when I went to put laundry away only to find the room HOT, (measured 83 degees on a thermostat) the top sheet completely removed, the electric blanket and white blanket on the floor and the down comforter and Sherpa blanket in big WAD on the bed.
I late infomed you that guest were arriving that night in garden room and gave you a choice between space hearer and electric throw. You CHOOSE the electric throw! and still had the Sherpa blanket, the white blanket and a down comforter. And just so you know, the garden porch, described as "comfy camping," has a clear Velom ceiling, and the walls have very little insulation. Yet most people do not use the space heater all night long in there. So please educate yourself about what being GREEN MINDED means and don't make yourself a guest in a home that requests GREEN MINDED guests. It means dressing in layers and sweaters in winter, and rying to limit showers to 3 to 5 minutes, and not wasting barely used paper towels. I can't imagine how or why you used so many, but I am curious.????)
Sorry you boyfriend got sick. Flu is bad this year. But walking up and down hall with nothing but underwear on, when prone to being chilled, is not wise, and not polite to other guests who might be more modest then him.
Oh, and you recieved the city tax request BEFORE you arrived, and were asked to pay it before or upon arrival. It is not optional leverage after telling me everyday in person and in texts that all is well. You were were not being HONEST with me.. That kind of commumcation only leads to dis-ease. which is not appreciated by me or other hosts. If you truly were not happy with you stay, you could have cancelled it. Airbnb paid it for you btw, because they could see the efforts I had made to satisfy you.
