Beautiful double room with stunning en suite bathroom in a lovely old detached house surrounded by glorious gardens. Breakfast included. A charming village setting, just off the village green, 8 miles from the centre of York (so you need a car).
Our house, in the village of Elvington, was built in 1806 from the local York brick and retains much of its cottagey character. There is a large garden to the front, and an even larger one to the rear. The house is furnished with a mix of antique and modern furniture. There's plenty of room in the four-bedroomed house, especially since our grown-up daughters have long moved out. The recently refurbished village pub, which serves food, is just 2 minutes away! There's also another pub in the next village that serves very good food (5 mins drive).
