À propos de ce logement
Welcome to Casa Aloha, our tropical desert isle home, where tikis and toucans welcome you to unwind. Enjoy beautiful mountain views, a saltwater pool, koi pond, waterfalls and plumeria. Relax with excellent coffee or a vintage cocktail recipe. Aloha.
Our home is in a quiet Palm Springs neighborhood that's just a 5 minute drive to downtown, the airport, and the 10 freeway. People tell us our home wraps you in a big island hug once you walk in the door, and we feel blessed to live here.
The tiki inspired guest room is sunny and quiet with a beautiful bougainvillea growing outside the window. The room has a ceiling fan, black-out shutters, desk and chair, bedside table, comfy upholstered chair, and a big closet with shelves and hangers. Just four steps from your room to the guest bathroom which is yours alone during your stay.
We are about 2 miles from the airport which makes for a brief cab or Uber ride to get here. Downtown is about 2 miles so you are very close to world class dining, resorts, casinos, bars, shops, art museum, galleries, Arial Tramway, golf courses and convention center. It's about a 15 min. drive to the world famous Outlet Mall, Cabazon Dinosaurs and Hadley's Date Shop (try the banana-date shake).
Palm Springs has so much to offer year round there really isn't a bad time to visit. Whether you are planning on heading here for Modernism Week, one of our Film Festivals, Gay Pride, Coachella, Splash House, the White Party, a golf or tennis event, or you just need to get out of town for a weekend, our place is the perfect retreat.
We love hosting guests and welcome both gay and straight visitors and can recommend the best places to hang out in town depending on your preference. You can come and go as you please with your own set of house keys.
If you have a third person in your party, we do have a fold out sofa that can accommodate them. Just mention the need for the additional bed and we can adjust the listing for that day. There's a small added fee for the extra person/room.
There is also plenty of parking in our driveway so your vehicle can be off the street if you prefer.
Please Note: Coachella weekends 1 & 2 and Stagecoach weekend will be a 3-night minimum stay.

We both work at home and interact with guests only as much as they like. Even though we are here during the day, we are generally out of site in the home office, and respect your privacy if you want to relax on your own.
We have two very chill dogs named Dubbo and Tooey who are brother and sister rescues. They love having company as well, and Tooey will more than likely be the first one at the gate to say hello when you visit.
We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood with an architecturally eclectic mix of homes including many well-preserved mid-century properties. It is truly serene and beautiful here with inspiring views of the San Jacinto mountains and thousands of palms all around. Relax before or after your plans, whether it's dinner out at a quiet restaurant, a visit to the museum and art galleries, or the action of the casinos and nightclubs.
Grocery stores, Walgreens, Wells Fargo, Golds Gym, gas stations, dry cleaner, are all about a mile from our house.
Our house is a 5-minute cab or Uber ride from the airport. Downtown Palm Springs is about 5 minutes by car. The free Buzz shuttle stop is about a 10 minute walk from the house. Plenty of parking in our driveway.
We brew up a fresh pot of most excellent coffee every morning, with an assortment of teas available as well. We also set out fresh fruit, croissants or fresh baked muffins, yoghurt, granola, honey, preserves, Nutella and chutney.
Winter notice on pool on spa: By the end of Oct to early April the pool cools down dramatically and won't be heated. The spa is available, but during those months we need to charge a $15 fee per use because it takes so much energy to heat from those low temps. The rest of the year the pool and spa are open and free to use.
We are a sane, non-smoking, illegal drug-free house (smoking is permitted outdoors).
No glass in the pool area (we provide plastic glassware)
Appropriate respect for neighbors with no loud outdoor noise after 10PM
Clothing optional pool and spa (it's Palm Springs after all)
No pets (sorry our pups get nervous around other dogs)
We are NOT set up for a parent with a child under 7 years of age.
Kitchen access includes microwave, coffee-maker and reasonable fridge storage, but oven/stovetop cooking privileges are not provided without prior arrangement.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 5 jours avant votre voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.
We have been self-employed for two decades and are very creative individuals. Mark is a composer/songwriter, photographer, web designer and lover of all things outdoors. Barry is a DJ, writer, professional didgeridoo player and occasional painter. Together we love designing, decorating and landscaping our Hawaii meets Cuba-themed home we call Casa Aloha.
We truly love the unique, relaxing lifestyle that Palm Springs has to offer. And for you, our goal is to make Casa Aloha a fun and restful get-away to remember––desert island style!
