Sovereign Hill is a living museum with working exhibits brought to life by costumed characters and over 40 horses. Set on 25 acres of an original mining site, Sovereign Hill is a goldfields town with shops, hotels, a theatre, schools, factories, a gold diggings and underground mines to explore.”

Restaurant espagnol

“Spanish ex-pat and owner Jose has put together a Spanish restaurant with wonderful hospitality and some really outstanding regional food. Order from the menu or ask for a 'feed me' $59 menu and they will keep sending dishes out of the kitchen until the table groans for a halt. Outstanding dishes include the slow-cooked beef cheek in rich gravy on a creamy mash, prawns in red wine, croquettes filled with jamon and potato, a wonderful cheese board, terrific Creme Catalan and almond torte with cinnamon and lemon zest. Seriously good. ”
