Beer Bar
$$
“Open Baladin Roma serves over 100 bottled beers from the best Italian brewers, but that's not all! 40… yes, FORTY draft Italian beers representing, in just one place, the best that Italian craft brewers have to offer. Plus a selection of international beers. The Open Baladin in Rome has a more ambitious menu, with delicious daily specials as well as tantalizing snacks, such as the legendary fatate - freshly made potato chips flavored with unique aromas, from licorice to garlic, pecorino cheese or sweet paprika - our scrocchette, flavorsome sandwiches created by Gabriele Bonci, or the luxurious desserts that will seduce anyone with a bit of a sweet tooth. The magic atmosphere of Open Baladin, combined with the magic of Rome, is just too charming to miss. ”

Pizzeria

“The pizza dough is light, fragrant, well leavened and cooked very well. The pizza is light, the ingredients are all top quality and the wine or beer list is very accurate. Personally I would choose the Pizza Scarola and Alici, the Zibello, the Scottish. For the appetizers I point out the cheeses and the various types of ham, truly exceptional. Then a very specials kind of pasta and specials meat. A place to eat really well, not for tourists. ”

Restaurant de fruits de mer

“Locals flock to this Roman culinary institution for its star dish, filetti di baccala’. These flaky salt cod fillets are dipped in egg battered, fried, and wrapped to go in paper cones (don’t even think of using a knife and a fork). Dar Filettaro is open from 5:30pm on, so while this isn’t a lunchtime stop, it’s great for post-work snack, or even an instant dinner option, their filetti are pretty filling.”

Café

“You’ll find one of Rome’s best cafes in piazza Cairoli, Roscioli Caffè was opened by a family of fine taste who also run the famous bakery and restaurant nearby. The coffee is made with a manual machine which is maneuvered every so often to create different coffee mixes, pressures and temperatures. We recommend trying the traditional pastries that are produced in the bakery at the back, where it is thought that the traditional ‘pastarella romana’ (choux pastries with various fillings) was brought back into fashion.”
