“One of the OG breweries in Bellingham. The food is good, it's a great place to catch a game. The beer is safe but delish anyway.”

Parc
“There are three and a half miles of trails in Whatcom Falls Park. Many routes wind through the forests here, some overlooking the creek gorge and still pools. Some wind through open meadows, while others stay in deep forest. A WPA-built stone bridge greets visitors, just 100 yards from the parking area. It's a beautiful, mossy wonder that makes a great destination in and of itself, though further wandering in the park is a fantastic day outing. Connect to Bloedel Donovan Park, the Railroad Trail, or do a one-mile loop in the park by beginning in the Silver Beach Road parking area, near the stone bridge at the main falls.”

Route
“One of our best local parks, right along Bellingham Bay. Woods Coffee is central to numerous walks connecting downtown to Fairhaven. Wide expanses of lawn for frisbee and volleyball; a band shell; this park has it all.”

Lake
“A hidden local gem! Great for walking/running (2.25 mi around the lake), in the summer it's my go-to swimming hole. Padden has a good dog park, lots of grills, boat rentals, a great playground, lots of space for sports, and several miles of trails that go deep into the woods. In the winter the lake sometimes freezes over. I love Padden. ”

“One of Lindsy's favorite breakfasts in town. Its so good in every way. I always get the #9 and a Half. YES PLEASE! Not Eli's favorite place, because he's a whiner and doesn't like a wait for breakfast... Also has TONS of vegetarian and vegan options for all our Veg Buddies who prove they are more planet conscientious than we are. But we try. ”

“Very surprising German beer selection, in fact only German styles. This one has been around since 2008 and has more of a restaurant feel than a modern brewery. The smoked Rauch bier was tasty. ”
