“Table Rock offers incredible views of our City of Trees. This is great for everyone because you have a few options to get up to it-- driving and hiking. There are a couple of trail options but I recommend starting at the trailhead by the Old Penitentiary.”

“These days, the foodie and restaurant world is abuzz with buzzwords. “Local,” “sustainable,” and “hand-crafted” get tossed around more than a good salad. Well, it is one thing to say it and another thing to live it. So when, after 23 years of starting and running restaurants, my wife Amanda and I first started playing with the idea of Fork, we knew it would take a lot of effort to make these words mean something. And that’s what we’re trying to do, by making the ideas—the big ideas—behind these words not just marketing slogans, but at the core of how we spend our day.”

“This is one of my favorite standard affairs. The owners are local and eco-conscious (think zero packaging and compost worms in the basement for your scraps), they have lots of brews with a fun lounge next door, and the food is delicious at a great price. ”

“Goldy’s is our go-too sport for one of the greatest breakfasts in America (that is a bold statement from people who love breakfast!) We can’t seem to get enough of their breakfast burrito and their stuffed French toast. They don’t take reservations, so be prepared for a wait (at their coffee bar down the street), but you won’t regret the choice to eat here. ”

“In 1872 the Idaho Territorial Prison opened its doors to some of the most desperate and mean criminals the West could offer. In 1973 the Idaho State Penitentiary closed to inmates. Now our doors are open for visitors to explore over 100 years of Idaho's unique prison history. Open year-round, visitors of the Old Idaho Penitentiary can walk through solitary confinement, cell blocks, and the gallows. Visit today and relive the Old Pen's exciting past of daring escapes, scandals, and executions. Call for more details about special events, educational programs and guided tours.”

“Right in the action of downtown Boise. One of our oldest brewpubs, churning out award winning beers and delicious pub grub. This 10 barrel brewhouse and our hop-king headbrewer Shawn Kelso make this brewpub the hoppiest place in Idaho and a hub for all your pre-game warm-ups, post-adventure hunger, and quaffing needs. Come crush a beer with us in downtown Boise!”

“The Village is a new and upcoming venue in the Treasure Valley and worth the trip. Loads of shopping, restaurants, breweries, parks and outdoor areas for everyone. In the summer there is a playground and grassy area for the kids to play and in the winter, a small outdoor ice skating rink. The Village also has a movie theater and Big Al's Bowling. ”
