Burlington : sites touristiques et attractions

Vues pittoresques

“Community park on the lake featuring a boardwalk, sailing lessons & kayak & canoe rentals. Also look for the Burlington Bike Path. Converted from the Central Vermont Railway to a bike path in the 1970s, this easy trail crosses through beaches and parks and offers great views of Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks and the city.”

“The Burlington Earth Clock is a giant sundial located right on the bike path in Oakledge Park. It is the first project of Circles for Peace, a Vermont grassroots non-profit organization that is based on the philosophy that inner peace and inner strength can be restored by witnessing the rhythms and cycles of nature.”

“Basic urban library with new and old buildings conjoined. Nice architecture. Good selection of books and media. Open 7 days. *Cary's Thrifty Tip: there are often free programmes, author talks, classes, etc. A nice way to spend a couple hours at no cost.”
