Historic Site
“Provincetown is a fun day trip - whether you walk the streets and enjoy local flavor, or venture out to rocky beaches, or you enjoy local cuisine of Portuguese settlers. Provincetown Monument is a spot to visit during any time of the year - you can climb all the way to the top of this granite tower and enjoy amazing views of the Cape - views could really be amazing on clear days. However, if you venture out there on a drizzly day, the trip is still worth it! You will experience all the museum has to offer about early settlers to the Cape. Be sure to take the stairs to the top of the monument, if you are able, as even on bad weather days views are still amazing! ”

“In 1950, the Cape Cod Music Circus (now the Cape Cod Melody Tent) became the third musical tent to open in the US. For over 60 years, the Cape Cod Melody Tent has been presenting world-class entertainment in scenic Hyannis. One of only two continuously-operated tent theatres in the round in the United States, the Melody Tent is owned and operated by the South Shore Playhouse Associates, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting the arts, cultural and educational organizations throughout the communities of the South Shore and Cape Cod.”

Lighthouse
“An active coast guard area, you can't usually tour the lighthouse but you can get rather close to see the building and the great overlook onto the beach and water below. They have some cool displays about different coast guard rescues and the trip the pilgrims took (before they landed in plymouth). This spot is great for sun rises if you get up early or even great colors at sunset (as the sun sets behind you).”

“This is a locals spot- we always go here for special occasions. I absolutely love Mac's Shack for everything from draft beer and cocktails to sushi to fresh seafood. These folks know what they are doing and the atmosphere is impeccable. Sit inside or out- odds are, one of the waitstaff helping you is a local and a friend of mine. Great people, great food. Plus- they have Gluten Free options”
