Botanical Garden
“Founded in 1913 to preserve the country’s rare flora and fauna, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is a 36-hectare World Heritage site renowned for its beauty and diversity. Situated in the lush suburb of Newlands, on the southern slopes of Table Mountain, it’s home to a variety of flora (over 7 000 species), indigenous animals and birds, making it a relaxing (and educational) outing for all. Pack a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day out at the Gardens. In Summer, you can also experience outdoor Sunday Summer Concerts on the lawns.”

“The tip of Africa, well nearly, actually it is Cape Agulhas, but Cape Point is better know as the tip of Africa! About 1 hours drive from us, you can drive along 1 coast line and return along the other. Both are very scenic, and beautiful. If you do not want to walk up, there is a vernicular to take you to the top. Best to check if operating before you go. There is a fee to enter Cape Point Nature Reserve, free for Wild Card holders”

Bathing Area
“The view from up table mountain is amazing! You have to see it for yourself to understand such beauty. You can hike up table mountain or take a cable car. The hike is quite long so if you are not a hiking type, rather not. If you would like to hike, try and hike very early in the morning or towards the evening. It can get very hot and uncomfortable to hike in the day in summer. The cable car rides and access to the mountain is weather dependent. When it is windy and heavily raining, the chances that access is closed is high. ”

“A vibrant, warm-hearted little village in the heart of Woodstock where talented people come together to share, collaborate and show off their heart-felt passion. The Old Biscuit Mill is home to a range of artisan workshops, designer stores, decadent restaurants and the popular Saturday Neighbourgoods Market. The Old Biscuit Mill is one of Cape Town’s must-visit attractions. Well loved by locals and tourists alike, the Mill is a bustling hub where people come together to eat, drink, shop and have an all-round great time. “At TTK (as it’s known among insiders), your dinner starts in the Dark Room for an array of inventive tapas with innovative twists, and then moves to the Light Room, where you get to experience more of Luke’s bold, experimental and contemporary dishes. Once you’ve eaten here, you’ll understand why it’s the only (South) African restaurant to be featured in the The World’s Best Restaurant Awards. Good to know The waiting list is long, you’ll need to book well in advance.”
