Historic Site
“Maruekatayawan Palace. This was designed by His Majesty King Rama VI in 1923 and is a superb example of classic raised Thai architechure. Of particular note are three two-storied wooden pavilions facing out to sea. Halls are linked together throughout the palace and there are residential areas for royal consort members and naturally for The Royal Family. The Palace is open to the public daily from 08.00-16.00 and is a must-see whilst you are in Hua Hin for a real glimpse back into Thailand's Royal past. The Palace is now fully restored and prides itself on being the longest golden teak palace in the world.”

“Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park is a delightful playground for nature explorers. It covers an area featuring cave-ridden limestone hills and forested greenery. Inside the park, the 3km nature trail passes through a scenic landscape filled with natural rock formations, bird habitats and an array of flora and fauna. Getting to the forest park is an adventure in itself as the road is rough and relatively unpaved. From Phetkasem Road, at the 197km post, take a small local road that leads to Wat Pa Sutthikun and continue for 1km. On the way, you will see a series of limestone quarries leading up to the mountains. ”

“On the highway from Cha-Am to Hua Hin in Thailand you will find after a short distance the Cha-Am Forest Park. This natural Forest Park has been left in its natural state and many birds and mammals, like wild living monkeys, have now settled there again. This small but very beautiful Forest Park on established on the 4th March 1992. It offers long walks protected by shady trees and an unique flora and fauna. Especially in the morning you will see many rare birds, big lizards and other exotic animals. An asphalted path invites you to an early morning jog in the nature.”
