Parc
“Situated at the top of our road there is a beautiful garden worth a visit. There are tours Thursday to Sunday telling the interesting story of Patrick Lafcadio, international writer. The journey begins in a Victorian Garden dedicated to the memory of Hearn’s happy childhood summers in Tramore. There is an American Garden, a Greek Garden and a traditional Japanese Tea garden. €5 for the tour, or you can wander around and just leave a donation”

Beach
“Much loved by the people of Waterford and Tramore, the Guillmene is a sheltered cove with deep and clear water which is perfect for swimming. There is good access into the water via ladders and a slipway. Swimmers are advised to keep an eye on the tides and diving is not recommended. There is a large car park and basic toilets. A couple of seats and picnic tables overlook Newtown Cove and there is wheelchair access via a path through the Newtown woods. Awarded the Green Coast Award for 2014.”
