BBQ Joint
$$
“This place is renowned for its fare; they do one thing well, in many forms (there is even a breakie bbq). Operated by the sole son of a family of Bay Street lawyers, this guy made the right choice to pass up the family biz and instead make his mark in the world of ribs and brisket, etc. Call ahead as there is usually a line up, even though they have now been on Roncy for many years.”

“I recommend the steak salad (with goat cheese instead of blue) and the chicken burger. The beef burgers are also amazing. They often have food specials - so ask about that. The Mugshot tavern also has a decent selection of local beer on tap.”

“Best pizza slice in the hood (Joel's opinion). Also huge slices. They deliver but it isn't quite the same as fresh out of the oven.”

Boucher

“More relaxed bar/tables than its parent Barque Smokehouse a block north. Great for enjoying the best smoked wings and ribs I have ever tasted - choose your dry rub or sauce. Meat platters for two available as well. You can also pick up ready to reheat pulled pork or smoked chicken and meats, or try out their BBQ items and homemade spice rubs for gifts to bring back to people. They also have a large selection of boardgames that you can borrow to entertain.”
