“The source of the Llangollen canal ! Built by Thomas Telford in the early 1800s. This is the special place where the river Dee rises to the level of the canal water. Telfords weer channels huge quantities of water into the national canal network and gave reason to the presence of the canal in Llangollen, with all its economic benefits. ”
