“Phone Number: 38210266 The rich Aboriginal history of North Stradbroke Island centres around Dunwich, home of the Quandamooka People. The Goompi Trail is a historical walk with a local Aboriginal guide, which takes participants on a leisurely 1-hour walk along the foreshore of Dunwich overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay. Learn about Aboriginal artefacts, traditional hunting methods, bush tucker, medicines, traditional ochre’s and see the remnants of an old rock fish trap.”

Cafe
“Best food on the island. Get in early at peak times and grab a table on the front deck overlooking the point. Can also recommend a takeaway burrito or beastie burger to eat in the parklands. Sunshine lattes are first class too. Attached organic groceries in “green room”.”

“Relaxed cafe. Pizzas from 5pm. Can be variable quality. But easy walk to Home Beach to eat a takeaway. There Is another pizza option on Friday-Sunday evenings from 4/4.30pm: Straddie wood fired pizza - set up a mobile pizza oven in the car park at Cylinder beach. Fresh and delicious - but would suggest ordering early - as they get super busy from 5pm and you could be waiting ages for dinner. ”

“Probably the best swimming beach on Minjerribah and a favourite of teenagers. The best thing about Minjerribah beaches is that there are so many of them separated by headlands, so, if it is blowing too hard at one, walk around the corner and the next beach is calm and peaceful.”
