Quartier
“LoDo (lower downtown) and RiNo (Platte River North) were rail yards, stock yards and every type of dirty old industry an american city wanted early in the last century. Not any more! In the last 20 years this part of town has been completely transformed and is now a lively social hub with parks high rises and young people. Check out Union Station, walk the pedestrian bridge at the end of 16 over the rails and to confluence park where cherry creek meets the Platte river. Coors field is at the end of Weewata street and north of there is the RiNo district. Still in a state of flux with a mix of new construction and turn of the century warehouses. RiNo is a quite a bit more arty and bohemian than LoDo but with the pace of construction it may be totally different in 10 years.”
