“Oh if you LOVE ice cream this is an absolute MUST!!! The lines are long in the summer but they've got some magical teens working the ice cream and they are fast!!! Wait time is never more than 10 minutes and it is WORTH IT!!! The ice cream is batch made from the dairy's own cows. Flavors are amazing and there are even delicious dairy free options made with coconut milk (my favorite). If you don't want ice cream there are baked goods, specialty chocolates and excellent coffee options. You must make a trip to this place!!!”

“Schoen Place is a canal landing and shopping area located on the North side of the Erie Canal in Pittsford. It is home to several resturaunts, a variety of retail stores and other local businesses. It is also a stopping point for canal and river day trips like the Sam Patch. In the warmer months it is crowded with people. It is possible to rent canoes, kayaks and bicycles here. Other convenient shops and restaurants are located in the adjacent Northfield Common such as Label 7 and Pittsford Lumber & Woodshop, to name a couple.”

“This upscale diner, located along the Erie Canal, offers traditional American breakfasts at reasonable prices. People argue over whether their breakfast or lunch menu is better - you be the judge! Just remember, this place is small and accepts CASH ONLY!”

“This is a bit more upscale chic in a hometown kind of way. The food is good, the staff is friendly and the wine selection is decent. On Monday you can BYOB with no corking fee if you order food so that is a bargain worth mentioning.....The mussels are delicious as are the truffle frites. They are known for their wood fired pizza......”
