“Most easterly point in North America. Careful, people regularly washed into the ocean, so obey the signs! Some great waves and whales when in season. For history buffs, there are WW2 gun emplacements. The lighthouse is worth a look as well. ”

“Located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Memorial University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden is the province's premier botanical garden. We have: Five NATURE TRAILS, a large CULTIVATED GARDEN AREA, and a greenhouse are incorporated in to the 100 acre nature reserve. The Field Centre houses the GIFT SHOP, which displays local crafts, gardening books, and other gift ware; the GARDEN CAFE, which serves delectable lunches and treats; and several different ART SHOWS throughout the season. Devoted to Research and EDUCATION, the Garden has been developed to display plants native to the province and cultivated plants suitable to the local climate.”

“300 Km's of amazing trail hugging the cliffs of the communities nearby St. John's from Pouch Cove to Cappehayden on the Southern Shore. Good for both day hikers and Thru Hikers. Lots of wide open space and berries too later in the season ”
